upgrading from EZ drummer 1 to EZ drummer 2

I’ve been a few years away from the recording game now but I’m back in the game now with EZ drummer 1.

Now I’m considering buying EZ drummer 2 since the upgrade is no longer available.

I’m just wondering if maybe it would be possible to use both EZ drummer 1 as EZ drummer 2, or will EZ drummer 2 simply replace the older version?

The EZD2 will replace the EZD1 plugin.

Hi Scott,

Thanks a lot for your quick answer.

Can I assume that I still can use all the same grooves I have in EZ drummer 1?

I also have the drumkit from hell and the nashville kit, will they also work with the upgrade to EZ drummer 2.

If you leave EZD1 installed before installing EZD2, you will have access to the kits and MIDI.

Yes, all Toontrack EZXs and MIDI packs will work with EZD2.

This sounds great 🙂

So I’m gonna upgrade to EZ drummer 2 and get some midi packs while I’m at it.

And maybe some expansion packs as well haha.

I bought EZ drummer 2 and some midi packs and EZ bass as well 🙂

The installation went flawless for the drumpacks (not so for EZ bass)

EZ drummer sounds great though, a big improvement to the first one.
