Hey gang… first post. Been using and enjoying EZDrummer2 to program drum tracks, now I’m converting an acoustic kit to trigger EZDrummer2.
Starting with a snare, I’ve got a mesh head and DDrum snare trigger installed and connected to a DDrum DDTi interface. The DDTi interface is connected via USB to my Mac. In EZDrummer2 I have the E-Drum setting set to “Generic”.
Despite this setup, the trigger is sensed in the DDTi hardware is not triggering inside the EZDrummer2 application on the Mac.
So with that not working, inside LogicProX I tried creating a software instrument track with EZDrummer2 as the instrument and with that the trigger works as expected, triggering EZDrummer as a virtual instrument inside LogicProX. This proves that the trigger, DDTi, USB connection, and Mac are all working together properly.
However I do not want to have to use LogicProX to trigger the EZDrummer2 application but instead want to do so directly.
I’ve tried all the various E-Drum settings (Roland, Alesis, etc.) inside the EZDrummer2 configuration and still no success directly triggering.
Am I missing a configuration setting inside the EZDrummer2 application or perhaps on my Mac?… any other suggestions?
Thanks a bunch… Dave
