While recording a bass line with a recorded midi piano part playing EZBass causes the average load and real time peak levels to spike into the red, This causes snaps and pops, and recording of the bass line stops. I’m using Cubase 10.5 Pro and my buffer is set to 512 sample rate at 44100.
Same !
I tried Ezbass yesterday (didn’t used it since many weeks) and I had the same situation
(Cubase 10.5 pro as well, my buffer is 384 (UR22).

OK, it is 8-28-20, and I am still having the same (even worse) issue with EZBass and the extreme spikes while using the product in Cubase 10.5 pro. It has gotten to the point that if the software is loaded but nothing has been recorded to it, any other VSTi that is loaded will overload as soon as you try to record.
The only way to prevent this is by not adding an EZBass track to the record window. Which makes the software useless. I have submitted ticket to support
but no one has come up with any answer. I hope someone can and will respond as I hate paying for something I can’t use.
