If this topic has been addressed here already, please kindly point me in the general direction of the response so I won’t belabor the forum with redundant questions.
I am running Superior Drummer v 3.1.7 with Reaper 6.12c/x64 on Windows 8. 1.
I have tracks (not drum tracks…other instruments/vocals that were cut to a click track) that I have recorded that I would like to add drums to. I am not a drummer, and this is not a question of my wanting to substitute my own recorded drum tracks with samples from the SD3 Library. I merely want to drop a recording (either a mixed stereo track or separate tracks) on to reaper…sync SD3 with it and write my own drum tracks. Only one or two of the videos I watched really directly addressed when I want to do…and they were both so vague about the initial steps I couldn’t pick up on what they were doing. One of the videos addressed the “follow host” button…a feature which seems to be missing from my version of SD3 …unless it only appears when you run SD3 as a plugin to Reaper or some other DAW.
My immediate thought is that the answer is out there…but I’m not asking the question in such a way that would get me the response I was looking for.
