hi guys, new to superior drummer, hoping for some help here! i have my own drum fills i have played and stored in my midi files. when i drag one in to edit the drums a little i cant seem to get it save what ive changed. for instance in one drum fill im trying to add one extra bass drum but when i add the extra note, save it and drag it back in again the extra bass drum has now changed to a floor tom that isnt even being used on the kit i am using? tried lots of times but just keeps doing the same thing,is there something im missing here before i save to the midi files? thanks”>http://hi guys, new to superior drummer, hoping for some help here! i have my own drum fills i have played and stored in my midi files. when i drag one in to edit the drums a little i cant seem to get it save what ive changed. for instance in one drum fill im trying to add one extra bass drum but when i add the extra note, save it and drag it back in again the extra bass drum has now changed to a floor tom that isnt even being used on the kit i am using? tried lots of times but just keeps doing the same thing,is there something im missing here before i save to the midi files? thanks
Changing a groove in the groove editor will only save that particular instance of that groove in your track. It does not save it back to the user grooves area, because in a sense you have created a new groove out of it. You would have to save your newly edited groove back to the user grooves area as a new groove.

Hi,
I think this depends on how you are going about exactly and whether or not you are using a MIDI map Preset when you are recording your fills.
How do you go about and do you use an E-drums MIDI Preset?

thanks for your replies, when i add a bass drum to my fill that was dragged out of my midi files i then drag the new fill back in again to create another fill with an extra bass drum. when i drag in the new file again the bass drum has moved onto the floor tom! i used the roland td50 when i recorded the original fill and the midi presets are set to the roland td50 in sd3. ive edited some tracks before and its been fine, its just strange why it keeps moving the bass drum onto floor tom 2 which is not even present on the kit im using.
When you say “extra added bass drum“ are you referring to a new instrument? If so, that might sound like a bug.

yeah, just using the pointer tool, adding one bass drum to the fill where there wasnt one before and it keep changing to a floor tom 2 whenever i drag the new file back in again, weird. il try shut everything down and start again
well shut everything down and tried again but doing the same thing. i put in four bass drums to the fill, save it to my midi files, drag it back in and the four of them are on the floor tom, strange or am i getting something wrong/
