I have the individual tracks from a studio recording (separate drums tracks, bass, guitar etc). I am using Logic Pro. I would like to replace the drum tracks with midi track generated by the tracker function in SD3, however I am having a problem with the tempo.
I first started on the project a couple of years ago and imported all the audio files into Logic. I left the tempo of the project at the default 120, but as it consisted of just audio files it played back without issue.
However now trying to add in the tracker generated midi file I can’t get the midi and audio to match up. The actual tempo of the audio is approx 100, but it fluctuates by a couple of bpm during the song. Regardless of whether I use the tempo map from trackerI can’t get the midi file to match to the audio.
What is there correct way to do what I am trying to do? Do I need to first start with a fresh project, creating the midi track and then import the other instrument tracks into Logic? Or is there a better / correct way?
I haven’t a clue where to start :/
