Anyone knows if it’s possible to do a quick-paste of midi notes into the grid editor? For example I have a melody line in one of my other tracks in my DAW (midi) and I want the bass to play the same melody line for one or two bars and do a little editing on the notes in grid editor. I can’t seem to paste INTO the grid editor? Thanks.
What DAW are you using? Some DAWs allow for dragging MIDI from DAW to the EZbass Song Track. Cubase can do this but I’m not sure which other hosts support this. I don’t think Studio One supports it.

I am using Reaper as my daw. I have a bassline in midi from a previous bass vsti, but I would like to copy the notes into Ezbass so I am able to do some tweaking in the Ezbass grid editor. I cannot find a way to “import” the bassline into my Ezbass plugin. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

Update: I have found a way to do this. I had to first export the MIDI file from Reaper: File->Export Project MIDI. Then, in the Ezbass plugin, I choose Track-> Import MIDI file and choose the MIDI I exported before :).
Try using ctl +alt while dragging from Reaper to EZbass. I think that works…
Hi,
if you have Follow Host Enabled, just record the MIDI from the Reaper Track to the EZbass Song Track; hit Rec in EZbass and then play in Reaper.
Just like Henrik explained above.

You can also right click the midi file in Studio One and use , export selection, under event section. Just make sure you choose midi file under the dropdown for save as type. Save as midi file to desktop or wherever you want and then drag into EzBass Drums & Keys.
Be aware…I do not have luck with simple midi bass lines as it always is missing key notes using this method and have not been able to figure out why this happens. Work’s fine with some midi but for me simple b f b f does not translate using the Drum & Keys drag method for bass.
I have Reaper and it has trouble dragging directly from the daw into Ezbass but if you can drag from your daw to another folder, for example the desktop. Then you can drag into Ezbass from there with no issue, at least you can in Reaper. Two drags instead of one but still faster than recording it real time into Ezbass.
Interestingly. I opened synth plugin that had midi patterns it, that you could drag onto a Reaper track, so as an experiment I dragged it straight to Ezbass and it worked fine?
Ctl+ left click and drag is how you do it in Reaper.
