I have EZ drummer 2 plugin running multi track in Ableton Live 10. All drums play in designated tracks. I can even record while clicking on the drum interface in EZ window (do not have a midi interface for drums so have to mouse click). Everything is good until play back. Even though there is a recorded signal in the channel no sound comes out during playback on any channel except my guitar channel. Hear only the guitar, no drums. Have gone mad trying to google, bing, and every other search I can thing of to correct this. Any help would be appreciated.
I don’t have Ableton, but it works in my DAW. You have every track armed to record (assuming that’s necessary in Ableton)? Anyway, here’s a good tutorial.
Thanks for your response. That video is exactly how I set mine up. This issue is not that it won’t sound. All channels work, all sounds great and seems to record. In the track where the specific drum is located the record signal is present (the wave pattern in the actual track is there). The problem is once I try to play back even though the record signals are present there is no sound. Great sound while recording and can see the signal in the track but no play back sound. All there is, is the guitar track sound.
Ableton Live 10 silences an instrument if it hasn’t made any sound for 10 s, I think, the GUI is closed and it has no incoming MIDI from the host. There’s a way for a plug to override this but hasn’t been done yet in EZD2. Maybe you can work around it by placing some MIDI in the track in Ableton?

Thanks for your reply’s. I figured it out. You actually have to have the drum tracks in the “drag midi song blocks here” in EZD 2 while recording, playing back and exporting audio from Ableton. Works great now. I guess even if the signal is present in the Ableton audio tracks it still needs EZD 2 input for playback and exporting from Ableton. Never done midi before, quite different from just plugging in and playing my guitar. Again thanks for the help all who replied. And for you metal heads out there, the death metal pack is brutal. Love it.
Joe.
