I wish I could help but I upgraded and am not seeing any issues at all.

Is it crashing on a new project or an existing one? It could range from a bad project to a corrupt preference or a permissions issue.

You also might want to ZIP the crash log and post it so the devs can have a look.

I’m not seeing any issues with Logic and SD3 either. Then again, I’m also running Mojave for now.

Another thing that just occurred to me:

Do you have FileVault enabled? There has been issues with other software updates in which FileVault was causing issues.

    Hi Jord,

No I dont have file vault enabled.

I have upgraded to 3.1.7 today so I will see if that helps.

I must admit that a combination of Catalina, Logic and SD3 isn’t the best combination just now (could be bugs still in Catalina) and I always think that something will crash at any time….

I will feedback how I get on with this upgrade. Thanks for the feedback Jord!

It has more to do with enhanced security measures in Catalina than anything else, that is affecting software installs and upgrades. One developer I know alluded to file vault being enabled, but it may be part of a bigger solution. I’ll see what else I can find out.
