2 different kits – same song – best practices

  I have the orchestra I/II. I want to open the song with some midi in I and change to the bass grooves in II.

  So far, I just created 2 tracks in logic with 2 instances of SD3.

  Is this the best/ONLY way of achieving this?  I understand copy/paste midi to another section but without the change of kits it doesn’t matter.
