You are using your pads as midi triggers, triggering sounds in SD3.  So, a few things:

    1.  Turn off the sounds inside the Yamaha module (local control off), so that only midi will be generated when you hit the pads.  Will need to refer to the Yamaha module owners manual.

    2.  Need to determine where SD3 is outputting the sound, that is being generated by SD3 when you hit the pads. That will depend on your computer system. You’ll need to learn where your computer system routes sound to, and have the speakers hooked up to that output.  This will vary, according to your computer system.

Ok, so I can play the drums and hear the sounds only on my computer speakers but the sound will not go out through the module to the edrum speakers for live performance.

Your drum module is not an audio interface. You would need to use an audio interface for a live performance.

    Hi,
any of the newer Universal Audio Thunderbolt Audio Interfaces should give you good performance, though it may be a bit more than you need if you do not use the computer for recording and mixing. Also, you need to make sure your computer has a Thunderbolt 3 connection port.

I had the same issue and it is still not perfect now but I was told by Anderton drums where I bought the software to download AS104 drivers instead of the native drivers for your sound card… You will have to go into settings after and muck about a bit getting it right but it took me about 15 minutes.

My biggest problem is I like to wear my Bose bluetooth headphones and it plays a lot quieter..

Asio4all is ok but no substitute for a audio interface with well designed asio driver.
