Sometimes I create a “drum beat” track” for the entire song, then use a different track for “drum fills” or accents. I would like to then open both of the tracks, at the same time, in piano roll……or any editor. When viewing them both I can delete and/or move notes so that it doesn’t sound like I’ve got a seven arm drummer. It sounds cleaner too…..duh!
That will depend on what DAW you are using.
Cubase Pro, Korg Kronos, M-50, Hammond XK-1c, Toontrack SD3, EZBass w/lots of expansions, many VSL Vi's, Shreddage 3 everything, and shit-tons of FX plugins.
Whoops……..Logic Pro 10 is the DAW I’m referring to.
ProTools is very logical and intuitive with track views. I’m a newbie, still stumbling through Logic, trying to find my way.
Rick,
I would check a Logic Pro forum for your answer.

Thanked by: Rick ZanderIn Logic, you can open to midi regions in a piano roll by selecting them both. They do not have to be on the same arrange track. The same goes for the score and step editor.
