I am considering crossgrading from EZD2 to SD3, and I have a bunch of MIDI packs (EZX). My question is will these midi patterns be able to take advantage of any of the enhanced articulations contained in the SD3 engine?
Or another way to put it. I have the metal machine ezx expansion with the midi. Is the midi pack for the SD3 the same or is it entirely enhanced with the new capabilities of SD3.
My apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this.
The MIDI will playback the same. The note numbers (thus the articulations used) won’t change depending what sampler you are using.
You can manually move them using the S3 Grid editor if you want to change them and then save them in the user MIDI folder.
