I’m experiencing a problem with exporting audio tracks from SD3 and PT 2018. Im trying to export audio from SD3 so I can mix the multitrack audio by importing midi made from Protools and then into SD3. Whenever there’s a tempo change in the session, even after importing the bpm changes as well, it does not correctly change to the proper bpm, leaving me with some parts correctly changing and some not. also to note, I am importing the midi into the SD3 clip editor on the bottom and making sure it’s aligned to the song start in PT. The midi is made from Toontrack midi clips and the routing is all normal.
What is the best way for me to export audio correctly from SD3? Am I doing something wrong? should I disable the “Follow Host” feature in SD3 or leave it on? Should I use the SD3 record feature instead to capture the midi or is importing it the way to go? I can’t seem to pinpoint the issue since there’s so many stages I have to do to get audio files from SD3.
Hi,
if you have exported a MIDI file from PT with the Tempo changes and Imported the Tempo from that MIDI file to the SD3 Song Track,
you should not have ‘Follow Host’ Enabled when you use the SD3 Bounce to render the Song Track to Audio files.
