  I’m in Logic Pro X.

  I’d like to use SD3 as my main drum kit and to create MIDI patterns. I also want to use the MIDI out feature to send MIDI to another virtual instrument/sampler to trigger sounds not available in SD3. I’m able to do this; however, there’s big time latency between SD3 and the second virtual instrument. It’s unusable even with Logic’s plugin latency compensation settings.

  Even if I mute all drums in SD3, the virtual instrument receiving MIDI from SD3 is still out of sync with Logic’s metronome (and anything else recorded in sync within the project).

  Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
