Hello everyone,
I’m thinking of getting Roland TD-11kv to play with SD3. I have an option to buy second hand kit for $960. I tempted to get it as it has CY-12C and CY-13R cymbals as well as mesh heads. I know that I could get a cheaper kit if I was only for playing with VST’s. I want to record midi and I thought that the more velocity variety I can from playing on the kit, rather than adjusting on the computer the more honest the drumming will be. I’m also thinking of getting Roland FD-9 hihat pedal for more accuracy. Have any of you played TD-11kv? Would it be possible to play “live” VST’s with it without too much of a latency?
too expensive for a td-11 kit, you could get a td-25k now with better module for that price…

Thanked by: Jakub LudziejewskiThanks. How much would be the fair price for it?
Hi,
Jorg are right. I think 500-700 is ok. 750 and above not.
Ive played a long time with a TD11 and its a fast 3-4ms Module
and the dynamics are also ok – not for Pros but for hobby players enough.
If u record mididata (not the audio) u must compensate ur recorded track manually because
the DAW compensate only ur AudioInterface (witch send latency-info to the DAW).
In this case with a TD11 u must move ur track 4ms to the left…
Greetings
