Hi!

Yes, I’ll tell you, No and No. 😉

If you can launch the SD3 standalone application, you can check where the VST is located by checking the Program Menu > Help and ‘Show Plug-In Path..’

Make a note where this location is and open the Preferences in Live. Check the ‘Plug-Ins’ tab and make sure that the location is in the VST Plug-In Custom path and that ‘Use VST Plug-In Custom folder’ is ON.

Should the location of the SD3 VST Plug-In already be in the system wide VST folder and this is also ON in the Preferences, something else is wrong.

Kuba,

Good morning. In Ableton 10, you would open the preferences and choose Plugins. Make sure the path or paths that Ableton is where the Superior Drummer 3.vst is located. ( Do a search on your hard drive (s) to verify this. One your VST is located, make sure the path is correct in Ableton. If not, browse and point to the fold where the VST resides.

After this is done, click the rescan button. It should find it and then you can select Plugins on the far left column of Ableton and click the arrow beside VST and it should be under the “Toontrack” heading. You can then drag it onto a MIDI track.

Hi, I have the same problem, I’ve added the Toontrack VST3 path in Ableton, rescanned, reopened multiple times, neither the Toontrack folder nor SD3 show in Ableton 10. Any suggestions? I’m on Win 10.
