    Hi,

if it happens intermittently, I would switch out the USB cable. If it happens every time, I suspect your module either does not send an ‘Off’ message or have a lower choke threshold than EZdrummer 2 is set to.
Do your have any means to record and inspect the MIDI that gets sent from your module?

    BR,
    John

    Hi John
This happens all the time, answering your question, I do have a way to record and inspect the MIDI that my module sends.
What should I look for in recorded MIDI?
Is there a way to change the lower choke threshold in EZdrummer 2?

    Hi,

what is interesting is what happens around the events when you pinch and then release you cymbal.
You can export that MIDI, ZIP archive it and attach to a post here.

You do not have such editing capabilities in EZdrummer 2, that is a Superior Drummer 3 feature.

    John

The Alesis Surge kit never sends any “unchoke” events. In Superior Drummer 3, we have added “single choke mode” as a workaround for this, so this kit works fine in SD3 but not in EZD2 (yet). A way to unchoke the cymbals in EZD2 is to start playback in the host.

I have the exact same issue with my surge kit. What do you mean by “starting playback in the host”? Do you anticipate a fix in EZ2, or do I have to buy SD?

    Press the space key.

Yes I believe the workaround will be added to EZD2 but I’m afraid not in the nearest months (because we are tied up with other tasks).

    Hi there,

I have exactly the same issue with my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit and EZD2. It’s very frustrating.

Could you please give an update on the fix?
