SD3 Cymbals Being Constantly Choked When They Weren't Recorded That Way

  Hi everyone,

  I’m experiencing an issue where cymbals are performed as chocked hits rather than ‘un-choked’ hits.

  I played my drums in with my eKit (Yamaha DTX900 with DTXtremeIII pads). In the intro of my song I do a crescendo on one of my crashes and then choke it as the first beat of the next bar comes in. This works fine but then all the hits afterwards on the same cymbal are now played as choked hits. I’ve done a bit of research and it seems that I can’t edit chokes as they are considered ‘aftertouches’ and don’t get noted down on the MIDI. At this point I should also note that the recorded MIDI information is in my DAW, not SD3 itself.

  Apologies if this is covered on another thread but I’ve struggled to find any other thread on this issue.
