Ehhh…..could be me, but I don’t read what the problem is……all I read is that a few words on your screen are driving you insane. You probably mean ‘inactive’ and not ‘in active’ (is what you wrote). You probably mean that there is no sound when you touch your drum controller. But I am only guessing, cause you haven’t wrote it.

Some advice: google : ezdrummer 2 audio engine inactive

Another tip: check the settings in EZdrummer 2, see for example this vid:

Thanks, Marcel. Yes you guessed it, inactive audio engine.  Thus, on my Roland kit, no sounds. I’ve had ezdrummer2 for years so, I’ve checked settings re midi audio etc.  Also Compared my windows 10 set up to my windows 7… No difference..  so I worry it’s something to do with the latest windows update…

Sometimes I get sound and it works fine for around 30 seconds then cuts out with the inactive audio engine…

Interestingly when I leave the output to the computer speakers it’s fine., When I change the output to the td11 , then cuts out again

Do you mean that it all worked fine on your new Windows 10 but not fine after the latest windows 10 update?

And: I guess you set audio out (and not midi out) to TD11 and that doesn’t work. I guess the audio goes via usb to TD11. Perhaps you can simply try to use another usb port on you PC.

Also check in Windows sound settings if sound is set to TD11

Nope. It worked and continues to work fine with my windows 7 laptop. However is not working with windows 10 laptop.  Audio device is selected, drivers all up to date, Roland td11 driver up to date ezdrummer2 up to date. But I will get a around 30 seconds of sound when I play my Roland td11 and then sound stops, ezdrummer2 says audio device etc, and interestingly my Roland td11 module freezes and doesn’t register any hits, until I take out the midi usb usb put it in again…

And did you try another usb port on your windows 10 laptop?

All the 3 usb ports available on my laptop have been tried all with the same result…
