The Death Metal & Dark Matter EZX packs seem to be derived entirely on what you get in the Death & Darkness SDX, so I was only considering buying the SDX and not the individual EZX’s as they seem redundant. Am I on the right track with that thought? The only problem is, I really want all the MIDI grooves mentioned in the listings for all these items, and it seems that the EZX’s have their own unique grooves that you can’t get anywhere else or in the SDX, is that right?
Dark Matter EZX says “Includes a collection of drum grooves by Jami Morgan of Code Orange”.
Death Metal EZX says “Includes a collection of death metal-inspired drum MIDI grooves by Dave McGraw (Cattle Decapitation)”.
Death & Darkness SDX says “Includes MIDI performed by Sean Reinert and Jay Postones (TesseracT)”.
And furthermore there’s another Sean Reinert collection (one of my all-time favorite drummers) in the Deathlike Fusion MIDI pack, which I assume is also a unique set of grooves from the Sean Reinert grooves included with the Death & Darkness SDX?
So if I wanted all of these (I like Sean Reinert, Jami Morgan AND Dave McGraw a whole lot and want all of these grooves!) I would need to buy all of these packs?
Is there any benefit to buying Dark Matter and Death Metal EZX’s on top of Death & Darkness SDX besides the MIDI grooves? Or is it kind of a waste because of the redundancy of what the EZX’s offer as derivatives of the SDX?
