Ive not had issues installing on macs. It’s incredibly straightforward using the toontrack product manager.

    What seems to be happening?

    Thanks for your reply.

I was using the Toontrack Manager and neither the Library’s or Midi would install.

So i have now filed for full refund on paypal as this software is inherently broken and totally un useable.

For the cost of this software this is something that is totally unacceptable.

You will be missing the best drum software out there just because you won’t use a workaround. Your loss.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

    Hi,

My whole point is if you pay top dollar for a product you at least expect to be able to install it all without having to prat around sorting something out that should have been done.

once i get my refund, i may? come back to it if and when it’s fixed.

However at the moment this is not a product that can be used on a recent mac.

Product manager couldn’t be any easier to figure out. Your loss.

    Hi Chris,

Have to give you kudos for totally miss understanding the point. ?

Tell me, if you bought a car, handed over the money would you expect to push it off the dealership forecourt? no.

Whilst i agree product manager is easy to use, what good is it when it wont install library’s or midi?

All you do is create a folder and point the installer-PM there.

That’s why the installer has the option.

I bought it when Catalina was first released. I DO get it. I EXPECT it to be resolved soon. There’s many major plugin manufacturers doing this now.

I have bundled software packages I paid $500 for that 2 of the 4 won’t install from major players. It sucks.

Your point is valid though. Before buying, the buyer SHOULD be made aware. It’s good business to do so.

My bad. I didn’t realize this was an issue only related to Catalina. That is messed up and needs to get worked out. I hope they do. Good thing I haven’t updated since Mojave I guess.

It has way more to do with Catalina than anything else. If I had a new Mac I’d “downgrade” to Mojave till there’s enough apps that can run on it. SD3 is awesome and worth dealing with any install issues you are currently having. They will go away in short time.

Don’t mess with my serial number. You can’t delete attachments here… HAHA

    It’s very possible on Catalina…

Not doubting it CAN be done Digital,

But for the price tag (nearly £500) why the hell should i fart around mending there installer problems?

Perhaps for a lesser price tag you expect to sort a few issues?

Plus there was/is no warning anywhere on there website warning of these issues. (or none that i have seen at the time of purchase).

Sorry, we have been working very hard to resolve these issues. New installers are being tested at the moment. They are looking good, although one serious problem was found today and has been fixed. They need just a little more betatesting time. I expect them to be made available to you all on Monday. Again very sorry for the inconvenience.

I’ve been dealing with workarounds since I had my first electronic kit in 1979 (Simmons SDSV serial #100) so I’m used to these sort of issues. Over the years I’ve learned that these hurdles are all part of being on the cutting edge of technology. I believe once you get up and running and have a chance to see what SD3 is capable of, you will forget about what it took to get going. This is a great company with a loyal and supportive user base.
Long story short… we hear you and if you are looking for support from the community, don’t be a dick.

I ran a 64 bit app and I think it said that SD was good to go for Catalina.  So just now I tried to install and was bit by this bug.  VERY frustrating.  Is it the INSTALLER tha is the problem?  That’s a weird one.  Needs sorting immediately.

New Catalina-compatible installer applications are available now. Just restart Product Manager and they will be used when you install libraries.
