I have S3 and wonder what’s the best way to have different EQ for the snare and different EQ for rim on the same snare. In my setup I have a separate output for the BD, snare, toms, hat, cymbals coming into my DAW tracks. But the rim and snare come out of the same output, so the EQ affects both. Can I send the rim articulation out of a different output than the snare?
Hi,
first check the MIDI note assignment for the articulation(s) you wish to have on a separate channel, e.g. Sidestick #37.
Then add a new instrument and select the same Snare as you have loaded. Unload the articulations you don’t need from the new Snare and check the MIDI note assignment and enter the note number you checked earlier, in my example #37.
Your new instrument should automatically have a new channel in the SD3 mixer.
