Hi all
I purchased EzKeys today and had alot of problems when i started the Program up. First I made a little chord progression in the standalone ezkeys that followed my guitar chords. Nothing sounded right. Evrything sounded out of tune. First i questioned my music theory skills and then my live in general ? Nothing was working untill i started up my DAW (Studio one). To my suprise verything sounded in tune there. Even the progression i made in the stand alone version. Put on my Sherlock hat because i wanted to figure out what ruined a whole day in my live. After even more unpayed hours, lots of cursing and frustration beers it dawned on me. Somehow the pitch of the stand alone version of EzKeys seems to be connected with the sample rate! Changed the intital sample rate of 48khz (clocked via Spdif from the Kemper) to 41khz internal. Voila! Everything works and sounds brilliant now.
I dont know if I am the only one with that problem nor if I missed the obvious relation between the parameters in the first place.
Just wanted to share my story with you and save you from some hassle and cursing.
Cheers
s brilliant Sherlock. I do have the same issue with Ezbass. I don’t know what the correlation between the standalone and the one in the sequencer have in common. I’m using Cubase 10.5 and quite frankly I was losing my mind as you could imagine. Most of my projects are set to 48 kHz and I haven’t had any issues up until recently. going into project set up I just by chance selected 44.1 and everything was normal again( except of course my audio would now be out of pitch )then back to 48 kHz and it was out of tune again by about 1 1/2 semitones. I don’t know if this is a software issue, compatibility issue or just what to think. I’ve been using toontrack for years and the products are fantastic. Cheers
Same issue here with pro tools. As soon as I try and use either EZ Drummer or EZ Keys as a virtual instrument in my 48k session its flat by about a step and a half. Extremely frustrating because I cant move forward until this is resolved somehow and I see don’t see any replies from Toontrack…
