Today I purchased Orchestral Perc SDX for superior 3. An awesome SDX but…please record the samples with room but also completely “DRY” !. The snares are awesome in this new SDX but if I want to use these snares DRY, there’s this ennoying room included. I am one of the customers who has a vintage orientation especially with drums so that I can add reverb if I want to, I want to decide this myself. All the other SDX’ are very nice because I can switch of Room or OH . I want to make classical music and not a candy floss epic with fucking Johnny Depp in it as captain Sparrow. With strings it was the same, I searched for months to buy dry recorded strings with balls. This was a pain in the ass because they’re putting this pussy reverb of the room in everything.
To give some examples in classical scores..I am a fan of Max Steiner, Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, Elliot Bernstein, Russel Garcia, Leith Stevens etc etc. I hope you get the picture.
I still appreciate the awesome work of Toontrack !! but include the dry sound also with the sdx’ like this orchestral perc sdx snares please.
