I own SD3, Metal Foundry and Death & Darkness SDX. After spending quite some time building my kit in MF, then in SD3 with some additonal MF cymbals, I bought Death & Darkness and have to start from scratch. In my opinion the best way is to choose a preset I like, then tweak it, assign midi numbers (Guitar Pro style) and add cymbals and additional drums.
Which cymbals to add? How good are they in your opinion? I might start with Death and Darkness -> Death -> Shiny Death…are these cymbals better than SD3’s? Or Metal Foundry’s? How does everything compare and rank?
And why are certain cymbals prepanned and much louder in preview mode (“add instrument” -> instrument selector)?
