Hi all!
I have EZ Drummer 2 and a bunch of the drum packs. All groovy. I use a MBPro Logic X , V-drums a Zendrum and a keyboard.
Love the drum sounds – I never use the midi loops – well, cause I am a drummer why would I? But the sounds are great and for that I thank you!!! Makes my recording and bouncing so simple (On V-Drums with internal sounds or Vex sounds – a real pain as you have to record the audio etc etc ) anyway – love em!!!!! Great stuff!
I just bought and downloaded the Latin Percussion pack.
Ummmm nope.
Ya missed on this one! You should probably let folks know this is designed for a keyboard player to use – first, the midi notes have absolutely NOTHING to do with any V-Drums or the Zendrum mapping – which is fine so I re-program a couple of patches. BUT man o man the sounds are just not great. They are weak and lack any type of inspiration or sonic tone/magic like your drum sounds. Hell, I could open my trap case and record all the crap been laying in there for 30 years and have a better sound palette! LOL!!!
The over-abundance of pings, dings, and clanks would not be so bad if you bothered to record some more drums – like more conga (More than just 3?) and timbales yeah you have a couple of different types but there should be way more different samples – maybe even other types of “drums” – lots to choose from Surdo, Darbuka even a damn Djembe!!!!
Logic Latin Percussion kits are better than this! That is not good!
So … just sayin y’all missed badly on that LATIN PERCUSSION EZX … it ain’t great and it ain’t for drummers.
Now I am not a stick in the mud! As I was going to sleep last night I thought to myself …
I could build a couple of user kits that have congas and timbales and bongos where the toms and snares are on the reg kits.] and save em???
Going to try that today. Not a huge deal but might have been some sort of built-in user kit – it is EZ Drummer after all, no?
LOL
Further to …
I tried what I thought would work – make a kit out of the Latin Percussion instruments
No can do.
I can use the LP cymbals and there are a couple I like that I will incorporate into my EZ Drums sets – but for $53 bux – expensive add ons.
I tried!
