You should only need to download the SD3 application/plug-in. You shouldn’t need to download your SDXs or the SD3 sound files. First I would download/install Toontrack’s Product Manager, makes everything easier. Download the SD3 application and install the application through PM. (If you are installing on Catalina, check the threads here about installing SD3 on Catalina)

Shutdown PM and SD3. Copy your SDX’s and SD3 sound files to your new Mac. The sounds files for SD3 as well as any SDXs are contained within their own folders so copy the folders intact.

Start up SD3, it should complain that it can’t find any sound files and give you the option to navigate to where you installed them on your new Mac

Start PM and it should give you the option in “Authorize All” or you can do them one by one as you select them in SD3.

    Hope this helps.
