I installed Ezdrummer with the new installer for macos Catalina. On the “Drums” tab the three boxes for the percussion instruments are missing. Furthermore under the “Browser” tab, in the menu to the left, Ezdrummer 2 Percussion, the sounds for “One Shots”, “Shaker”, “Tambourine” are also missing. The only thing you can hear here is clicking sounds.
Can you post screenshots so we can see what you are describing?

Ok. Here are two screenshots, one from macos Mojave and the other from macos Catalina. On the Mojave screenshots you see the three boxes for percussion which are missing on the Catalina screenshot.
Ok. I’ll forward to the programmers and get back to you.

Thanked by: Mikael VinjestrandA new installer that includes the percussion sounds has been made available now, for the record. No need to download and run it if you used the previous installer and have applied the “temporary percussion fix.”

Hello Toontracks
I appear to be having exactly the same problem as described by Mikael above, i.e. no percussion icons in the main drum window and no percussion sounds in the midi library, just some clicking sounds.
I’m using Mac OS 10.11.6 El Capitan.
Can you provide me with the patch that was mentioned above by Mikael as it was described above please?
I seem to be having trouble looking for Temporary fix for missing percussion sounds in the Extras in the Toontrack Product Manager app.
My EzDrummer 2 is up to date as of yesterday.
Many thanks
Danny
Hi that temporary patch was just that; temporary. Since then a new installer including the percussion sounds is posted.
I would recommend uninstalling and re-installing EZdrummer 2 if you have a persisting problem.

After installing the EZ Drummer 2.2.1 update I no longer have access to the 3 percussion instruments in the main drum window or in the Edit Play Style window.

EZdrummer version: 2.2.1
Operating system: macOS Mojave (10.14)
Try running the 2.2.1 updater again. It should install the percussion.

I am having the same problem, missing the percussion library. I uninstalled and reinstalled the updated version of ez drummer 2 twice and the library is still missing. Do I need to get temporary fix patch I read in previous posts? If so please send it to me. Thanks.
Hi Polarhockey1,
that temporary fix was just available for a short while in 2019 until what it did was included in the updater, so there is no patch to send you.
You state that your EZdrummer version is 2.1.8 but the last update was 2.2.3. Have you run this updater? Have you run any Sound library updates?
Are you running EZdrummer 2 standalone? If as a plug-in, which host?
BR,
John

I’m having exactly this problem now on a new machine that I installed EZD2 on. On my other machine (M2 MBA macOS 15.5) everything is fine. ON the new machine (M4 Studio macOS 15.5) there is no percussion. I’ve tried to reinstall everything through TPM but they are still missing. Please provide an updated fix!

So that gave me the bright idea of copying the folder from the working machine to the non-working machine and that fixed the problem!
