Hi guys,
my new Cubase 10 Pro can’t find the external vst instrument like ez drummer
I tryied with the software plug in manager window but it doesn’t work, I try to uninstall
and install again ez drummer, but nothing’s changed…
Did you set the path to the Ezdrummer.dll in the Cubase Device Menu?

Hi Scott,
thanks for your answer. I guess there’s no dll file, I can’t find it in the ez drummer/toontrack folder, in both Program and Program (x86) folders…
Does the standalone EZDrummer 2 app work? If yes then, click Help->Show Plugin Path
That’s where your dll file is, point Cubase there.
if EZDrummer 2 app is not found try reinstalling
Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro (always up to date)
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)
Hi Brad,
I did as you say, i opened ez drummer 2 as stand alone, clicked help and found the dll path.
Then I point cubase there, nothing… I will try to uninstall and reinstall ezd 2…
Still no ezdrummer… The dll path is C./Program Files (x86) /VstPlugins/EZdrummer.dll
are you sure that the ez drummer 2 vst instrument is supported by Cubase 10?
is it possible that there’s no dll file?? When I open the folder i can’t find the dll file…
I’ve found the dll file, but it wasn’t there:
C./Program Files (x86) /VstPlugins/EZdrummer.dll
The ezdrummer now is red in the vst instrument list in the cubase plug in manager window…the others plug in are white…
(X86) path means that it’s a 32-bit plugin. Cubase 10 is a 64-bit host only. Please install the 64-bit EZD2.
