Checked the manual and this forum but can’t find a way to get quarter notes with 12 division in the grid editor. Tried 6/8 and 12/8 signatures and changed the timeline from straight to triplets without any success. This does not solve it: https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/12-8-time-grid-editor-triplets/
An example: Insert the groove “Forward shuffle 117 BPM”. Setting the signature to 4/4 aligns the kick and snare to the grid with the associated HHs as expected. But the odd HHs does not align to the grid since it’s not divided by 12. Setting the Q to 1/16t does however snap the odd HHs to a 12 division as expected but that is not what the grid shows, it still show 16 (32 etc.) lines per bar.
See the attachment with that mentioned groove displayed in SD and in Logic to see what I mean. In Logic the signature is 4/4 and the division is /12 and the odd HH are aligned with the 12 division grid lines.
This is a thing we have fixed. From our log for the next update:
“– Whether the time bar should use straight or triplet resolution is now determined by what is selected in the snap/resolution menu instead of by a context menu for the time bar.”
The context menu is opened by right clicking the time bar, above the notes in the Grid Editor.
The fix will be included in the next update, which is soon to be released!
