I’m running fresh install of
windows 10 64bit
cakewalk 64bit
ezdrummer 2 64bit
The plug in folders are all correct and have been scanned. EZ Drummer 2 does not show up as a vst in cakewalk. The stand alone works fine. All software is up to date. I am beyond frustrated. HELP!!!!
Hi,
In the Plug-In Manager, you should find it in “VST Instruments (VSTi)”. Does it appear there?
If so, insert it by selecting Insert > Soft Synth > VST2 > EZdrummer.

It does not show up there, or in any vst folder. I should be able to find it, but its not in any folder or any path. No virtual instrument, no drop down selection, no manual adding by right clicking, etc… no way to add it. Ive rescanned my vst folder with the dll, replaced the file in different folders, reinstalled fresh, and still cant get it to show up. Ive tried 64bit and 32bit versions of ezd2, and cannot get it to come up in any way within cakewalk. Standalone ezd2 works, but will not show up in cakewalk. Vst scan will find ezd2,but it never actually shows up in cakewalk anywhere.
Strange. What if you in Plug-In Manager select Show Excluded and Show Permanently Excluded?
