Soon – I can’t say exactly when but we’re working on it. The EZkeys sound library installers don’t work on Catalina at the moment either.

Any update on this? In my testing EzDrummer 2 works fine if it’s already installed before upgrade, but if you upgrade then try to install, the installer fails.

Happy to beta test a new installer version…

Just bought the EZDrummer 2. It was with great disappointment that I found out that the compatibility with the new MacOS isn’t there. Please solve immediately! =(

In the same boat. I upgraded to Catalina (fresh install) and now cannot use my ToonTrack software, so frustrating 🙁 ! Please update as soon as possible. Thank you.

Same here. If there is a workaround or a new test-version I’d be happy to try.

I copied a workaround for SD3 but it doesn’t work with EZDrummer so I have removed the content.

      Reason: Workaround incorrect

No, that only helps for installing SD3 sound libraries and SDXs. No workarounds for EZD2, we have to fix the installer.

I removed the content to prevent any confusion. My apologies.

A couple of days ago, I did a “nuke and pave” on my laptop.  Reloaded Logic Pro.  Went to reload EZD2 and was stopped short.

It would have been nice if Toontrack was proactive and sent out notification that the EZD2 installation was not compatible with Catalina.

Is there an ETA for the fix?

All EZkeys installers have been fixed but the EZD2 one is not quite ready yet. There may be a workaround, though: On the custom install screen, are you able to select folder for the sound library? If so, I think it’ll work if you don’t install to the default location.

It looks like it will let me select a different location (see attached). I’m willing to give this a shot, would there be any issues down the line using other ToonTrack or DAW programs with EZD2 installed this way , e.g would other applications be expecting the sound library to be located in the default location and not be able to detect them etc. ? Thanks.

Heads up, the workaround of selecting a different location for the sound libraries is a NO GO (see attached). Same error about compatibility ..
