So, you have the MIDI files on the Song Track in the standalone EZD2 correct? If so, select all of them and drag them all at once into your User MIDI section of the EZD2 MIDI browser. You can then open them in the EZD2 in Reaper from the MIDI browser like any other MIDI.

Many thanks for your fast reply Scott.

I wasn’t sure how to select all the patterns from the standalone song track…..but by experimenting I think I managed to do that.  I then opened Reaper plugin version of EZD2 and used drag and drop into the song track in plugin EZD. That seemed to work but the “pattern blocks all had the same blue colour. Selecting all of these again I dragged them into Reaper track. Looked successful at first but when I played the track in Reaper the tempo set in the DAW (and EZD) 72BPM suddenly increased to 108 for no apparent reason?? The Tempo was still set to 72 in Reaper and in EZD.   Sorry to ask again but any ideas why the tempo increase is happening?

I don’t quite follow. You say the tempo in both EZD2 and Reaper are set to 72bpm. Where does it show 108? Is there tempo changes in your MIDI file? Is there a tempo map in Reaper?

I thought it would be easy to open the plugin and find the old EZD2 file then realised that there is no File menu (like there is in the standalone version?

You can import the EZD2 file through the MENU in the upper right corner: “Load Project…”

Thanks again Scott,   You were quite right! for some unknown reason the tempo map in Reaper had suddenly gained a new tempo change to 108bpm several bars from the start of the track.

Once I deleted that tempo change marker and edited the start tempo to 72…..all was well!

Thank you also Olof !  Just what I was originally seeking.  I had investigated the Menu tab in EZD2 but didn’t immediately  associate the Import option with transferring a file from standalone EZD.  Straightforward once I had your tip!!

Curious to know why the original File and Settings menus were not brought forward from the standalone EZD to the plugin version ???

Anyway…..many thanks to both of you for your great help.

    Regards

    Kev.
