    That sounds like a bug.

My experience is that if you click to open the menus for the kits and then you use arrows to scroll to the kit you want then hit enter on the keyboard the kit name changes but the kit doesn’t load. If you click the kit then it will load. I don’t know if this is by design.

As Bear-Faced Cow said, this is a bug somewhere, because enter should select what is selected in the menu.

    • Are you using SD3 in Logic?
      • If you are using Logic, can you try it in standalone to check the behaviour there?

Your spec is exactly what I use, and I haven’t experienced this problem.

I was able to reproduce it in both environments.

Can you step-by-step describe how to reproduce this bug?

Are you using a Mac or PC?

My main computer is getting serviced, so I cannot re-test it at the moment. As soon as I get it back, I will check it again (it was failing at the time, but something could have changed since then).

I put SD3 and Logic on my MacBook Pro and I can recreate the issue 100% in both standalone and in Logic.

    Steps to recreate:

    1. Open SD3 (standalone currently opens the Default kit (Gretsch Roundbadge)
    2. Click the kit preset dropdown menu with the mouse to open the dropdown
    3. Navigate the drop down to a new preset with the keyboard arrows only (I chose Premier Rock) – do not use the mouse from this point
    4. Press the Return key

Expected result: The preset should change, loading the Premier Genista kit along with the mix routings and effects

Actual result: The preset is loading the Default kit noted above

I can confirm the bug, using jord’s steps, both in Logic X (v.10.4.6) and in the SD3 standalone (v.3.1.4). Mac mini 16GB running High Sierra, with the libraries on a USB SSD. Arrows+Enter change the preset name but leave the loaded kit as is (true for any loaded kit, not just default), mouse selection behaves as it should.
