Ok, working on a system running a beta version of any OS is a little nuts. If you need your system to work as advertised you need to run a tested and approved OS. I have a few systems and occasionally will use one as a test mule, but never on a rig that matters to my day to day existence. (however, I do see Catalina listed in the menu below)

Yes I agree with you. Thats why I have time machine prepared if I will have any problems with OS in Beta.

I didn’t saw any post here about this problem so i thought this will be a good idea if someone will be interested in Beta.

    Cheers!

Someone has to be on the bleeding edge! Just keep that time machine handy. I applaud your enthusiasm.

I always use beta software. I think it’s developer thing. 🙂

I also have the beta and I cant install the libraries I get an error saying the DVD inserted is incorrect and if I try to install it manually(not from the product manager) I get the contact developer error. Please let me know once a fix is out.

OS Beta versions are really for software developers who want to make sure that their software works when the OS is officially released.

You will probably have to wait until September/October at the earliest if you are looking for something to be fixed. May be even longer as I imagine it won’t be addressed until the next update of SD3.

I would only really download a beta version if I wanted to use or look at some of the new features within the OS. Unfortunately, what you won’t find is an improvement of third party software. Usually the opposite is true where it is less stable or efficient as the third party developers need time to rewrite some of the code.

    Kind Regards

No, this issue was fixed back in August. The SD3 software installer is fully compatible with Catalina.

I just got a new Mac and updated to Catalina and tried to install Superior Drummer and it also gave me an error. Had I known this I would not have updated my Mac software. This sucks.

Did you download the newest Product Manager SD3 installer?

    What error did you get?

I downloaded the installer from YOUR WEBSITE. When I try and load the Library Update I get a message, “Config File Error”, when I try and install the Core Midi it says, “Installer needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to work with the version of macOS contact the developer for more info”.

Now what? I paid over $300 for this Superior Drummer and a brand new MacBook and I am dead in the water.

I am using macOS Catalina version 10.15.5

True, those downloads have not been updated to work from Finder on Catalina. Start the Product Manager application and install from there to avoid the problem.
