MIDI Program change isn’t implemented yet in SD3.

    Ok Thank You.

Do you happen to know if there are any plans for it in the near future? it would be such a useful tool for set up such as mine.

You can save VST Presets and VST Banks for plugins in Live (in the Device box in the bottom).

But I am not sure on how, or if it’s possible, to switch these using keyboard shortcuts, or MIDI messages…

I’d also like to jump on this request.  Being able to swap drumkits with a Midi Program change message is very central to my workflow.  Any updates on implementing this feature?  It works on EZ Drummer.  I’m surprised it isn’t implemented in your flagship product.

    Here’s my request from July-

Midi program changes – The ability to call up kits/ presets over midi.

Setlists – The ability to create lists of kits/ presets without having to dig down into sub menus.

Perhaps the setlists can include program change numbers and tempo.

These things would help speed up things for those who play live gigs.

That’s interesting, I too would like to automate patch changes in SD3 in ableton, do you have instructions on how to save the vst banks and plugins in live…? Will then see if we can get it to work that way.

At the moment I am using a single channel on ableton with 8 kits running in cached mode. Am using macros to turn off one instance of SD3 and on for the next… but ableton has slowed to a crawl and crashes even with an i7 8700 processor and 64 gig of ram. It does work but not reliable at all.

heading into 2025, and I’d like to use SD3 on stage in performance situations that require automated preset switching driven by Ableton Live.

setlists and MIDI PC are becoming necessary features. Maybe in SD4?
