If I open a Logic Pro X (10.4.4) project with an “older” version of SD3 (basically, the one before 3.1.4) all hell breaks loose. Projects crash, or hang in loops, perform badly, and crash. The trick is to remove SD3 as a plugin, then add it back, or leave it out altogether because like, this is unbelievable.
This is a pernicious and irritating problem that BFD3 does not suffer, so I use BFD3 to avoid wasting, hours of my fracking time.

Haven’t seen this in Logic with any of my SD3 projects that were done in 3.1.3 or earlier. Sounds more like you either have some bad Logic project files or a pooched install of either SD3 or Logic. With logic you might have to trash your prefs as well.
