SD3 has been working fine with Cubase Elements 10 for several weeks. i updates to Cubase Artist 10 a couple days ago. When i opened a project in Artist and accessed the SD3 VST instrument, i got a warning message saying the soundb132.obw file was corrupted and the Sound Files need to be reinstalled. Is there a way to replace that file without reinstalling the entire Sound Set?
That file is part of the “Additional Bleed” download, which you can download again and install over the existing installation – or just copy that file from the Sounds subfolder in the download, but it’s maybe safer to install all in case other files are corrupt. SD3 may not detect all errors.
To speed up the download, you can do like this: Start it and after about 10 s, pause it. Click “Show Details” under Additional Bleed in PM and select “Show in Explorer” from the small menu next to the download. Go into the selected folder (SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part5.incomplete) and then to Contents > SL-SuperiorDrummer3 > Sounds. In another Explorer window, go to the Sounds folder of your installed library (which you can find through PM: Details > Installation Info > Show in Explorer). Copy obw files 114-150 to the Sounds folder in the incomplete download. When that’s done, resume the download. PM will then verify all the files and just download those that are not alright.
