Does this happen when you load Kit preset (in the bottom of the menu), or the Drums and Mixer presets (in the top of the menu)?

    • If it’s the Kit presets:
      • If I select a Gretsch kit, when having another Gretsch kit loaded, there’s no visual feedback that the kit is changed
        • for example, having “Gretsch Round Badge” kit loaded, and loading “Gretsch Round Badge snares off”

It does it in the Drums & Mixer presets (in the top of the menu). Part preset (in the bottom of the menu) seems to work fine.

What host are you using? If not the standalone, could you try the standalone as well?

Host is Pro Tools. It happens in Pro Tools and standalone.

Please post a screenshot of SD3 when you have the menu open and the mouse over a preset that you can’t load.

How many presets do you have in the User Presets submenu?

20 user presets in the user presets submenu.

I have tried to insert a screenshot but it’s showing up in the post as a different image of SD3, I have no idea why..

Strange. Try zipping it and attach the zip file.

Thanks. What if you alt-click the preset in the menu to open the “Load Parts” dialog, is the correct preset name shown in the dialog title? And does it also not work to load the preset from this dialog?

Thanks. Ok, the correct preset names are shown in the load parts dialog and I can load the parts (sounds/mixer presets) from this dialog. However these parts don’t load with the chosen preset title they just load within the existing preset. For example, if I start a project with the ‘default kit’ and then try to load ‘club kit basic’  all the correct parts/sounds will load but I’m still in ‘default kit’ preset. What could be stopping the presets from loading the regular way if all the sounds/info is still accessible as parts?

Not sure yet. When you select a preset that doesn’t work, what happens with the loading bar and the preset name text on the menu button (which was RODS MT VALE in your screenshot)?

So the preset name will change to the newly selected preset and the loading bar  “loads” basically instantly instead of the usual time it takes.

I see. So a workaround is to use Load Parts when the normal loading fails and you’ll have the correct preset name and sounds.

I’ve managed to reproduce this with the release version a few times now but not yet in debug mode. Thanks for the report and all info, we’ll try to fix this.

I have the exact same problem here.

I found the issue. There’s only a problem if you press the mouse on the menu button, move to the desired preset and there release the mouse. If you instead click on the menu button (press and release the mouse button) and then click on the preset, it will get correctly loaded.
