Seems as though you’ve got your hands on an older, boxed edition of this SDX expansion library,
harkening back to a time when SDX expansions were not downloadable, due to size and slower internet speeds.
They were delivered on DVD only with only a smaller ‘basic’ version available as a download.

Nowadays, dvds are not offered, for the most part (by any publisher).
Once a Toontrack product is registered to your account,
you should be able to download the full product via Product Manager.

Hi Scott, This pack was on special offer from Toontrack a couple of weeks ago, it was a good deal but there was no mention that there were kits missing. I`m not the only one affected by this ,there is another thread complaining about the same problem, it seems to b e people who have bought SD3 without previously having SD2.

I’m having the same issue.  I bought the NY Studios Vol 2 SDX last weekend when it was on sale.  I downloaded the digital version.

I’m missing the avatar sdx x-kits from the N.Y. Allaire section.  From the N.Y. – Hit Factory, I’m missing the Ride Bell Hybrid and Some Rods.

The error message that I get is that the SL – Avatar Libraries instruments are missing.

    Hi guys,

you are not missing entire kits or kit pieces, you just can’t load specific presets that have stacked X-drums from the Superior Drummer 2 Base library.

Before SD3 that library, the Avatar SDX library, simply was something that everyone that ran Superior Drummer 2 had.

Thanks John,  in your opinion am I missing much not having them  ?   I`<code>m new to SD3 so trying to get used to it, I`d  also like to have access to the EZ Drummer 2  library, is that possible  ?    Overall I think SD3 is awesome, so thanks.

You’re not missing a whole lot. I’ve been using Volume 2 in a couple of recent projects and it stands on its own merits. I’m particularly fond of the Allaire ambience.

Are you serious? I just spent the last hour trying to fix a problem that wasn’t a problem to begin with? Geez, I’m glad I stumbled upon this thread, though I wish I would have known this before I uninstalled, reinstalled, downloaded, relinked, etc…

It would be nice if Toontrack could just not have those show up rather then send unassuming folks like me on a wild hunt for nothing.
