Right click an instrument in the Drums tab and select Search for Instrument. Here you can use the filters to see all instruments from the core library.

Thanks, though it’d still be great to a pdf with a list and some info about each drum for reference – especially for non-drummers wanting to learn a bit more about the gear! I guess I’m just used to orchestral sample libraries which always have this. But yes, I know you can search within the software, and ultimately the ear will decides what sounds best where.

One other technical question that I can’t find any info on: how many velocity layers does each articulation have, and how many round-robins?

I mean, it’s clearly enough – SD3 sounds amazing (1st drum virtual instrument where I’ve genuinely thought “OK – that sounds real”!) – but just curious what it takes to achieve that in terms of layers/round-robins?

    If you go to

scroll down to ‘DRUMS’ then expand the Drums info by clicking on ‘Learn more about the drums’ you can see stuff like which drums, tools and drumheads were used for each kit.

Stumbled upon this searching for a MIDI map.

Any chance there is a list of all the note assignments for each articulation?

    SD3 v3.3.6, EZbass v1.1.7, EZkeys v1.3.4
    Studio One v5.5.2, Cubase v12.0.60
    3.6GHz Intel i9 iMac, 64GB RAM, OS 12.6.1

Considering that the articulations can be assigned to any MIDI note within a drum map, or MIDI controller, that would be moot. At any one time, I may wind up using up to five different MIDI maps and the assignments are different on each on.

What you can do is open the Midi Mapping inspector and click on its hamburger menu and select Show Keys to get the current note assignments for that articulation.

Not moot for me as a list to compare & match to others would make creating the maps I need much more efficient. I want to “show keys” outside of the GUI, cut & past, maybe throw in Excel…

Not sure I see what you’re comparing to in this case that would increase efficiency.

If you’re referring to SDXs, the articulations would follow whatever drum mapping you’re using in SD3 when switching between them. So, I’m still unclear what you’re comparing.
