After falling in love with the Tap2Find feature and using it for a little to successfully begin creating a list of drum midi packs that I want to purchase, it’s suddenly seemed to either slow down or not function at all specifically when using it with Show Web Shop Midi.
I just wrote to support and am waiting to hear back, but figured I’d post on the forum here, too.
Is anyone experiencing this as well? Is the Toontrack server experiencing a technical problem?
Thing speed up if I select a specific individual Online Library, but that is not the way I was using it before and that will take forever to go through all possible individual libraries just to see results of Tap2Find that might work well for me.
Before a handful of days ago I could always easily enter a pattern using Tap2Find with no other search parameters and the interface would very quickly populate with all possible options from the Online Libraries. It’s nearly unusable that way now.
You can see in the screenshot how I’m just presented with a blank window and “Searching” that never ends….
Hi,
please try again and report back if the behaviour persists.

Still a problem. Even when using Superior Drummer 3 in standalone mode instead of as a Pro Tools plugin. And I have an internet connection speed of over 200 mbps down and everything else having to do with the internet is functioning quickly and without problems, so it can’t be my connection.
OK, I’ll forward this to my colleagues.

I’m getting this as well…. Not sure if this was happening before i added quite a lot of Groove Monkee grooves, but whenever i click on any folder, is sits there searching for an absolute age before showing the contents of the folder. And it does it everytime you go back to a folder you’ve already been to too, so it’s not like a one off scan thing… don’t remember it doing this before i had to reinstall my DAW setup… any ideas?!
It’s the same with my EZX addons too…
*** OK…. seems that if i don’t pick a filter, such as ‘Genre=Any’ or ‘Play Style=Standard’ etc then it takes forver to simply show me everything in that folder.
If i select a filter, it then throws everything up instantly.. a bug maybe? Surely without selecting any filters it should just show me everything by default?!
Support helped me now solve this by trashing the file called “MidiDB” that’s in the USER’s Library/Application Support/Toontrack/Superior3/OnlineMidi folder. Make sure you go fully into the OnlineMidi folder to trash the MidiDB file in there and NOT in the parent folder called Superior3
You may have to keep trashing this file and restarting SD3 whenever the issue occurs.
