Hi, I’m new to the SD3 and the forum. Please for give me if my questions are stupid or covered in other topics.
I am using Superior 3 in conjunction with Roland TD-17 KVX V Drums, Presonus Studio 2/4 USB audio interface. I am having various issues.
When I load kits, cymbal choke hits are being assigned to the rims of toms. I am not sure why this is. How can I change this to the normal rim hit on tom?
Some of the kits, particularly the electronic ones, create a white noise hiss in the background which begins when kit is loaded and stays until that kit is removed. Not sure why this would be?
I am also having trouble with volumes when plugged in to my Roland PM-100 amp. The ride and kick drum are always very low and reverby, as though only the room mics are present, whilst the toms are very over the top, loud and boomy, with long sustain after the hit. Could this be due to taking a single output from the interface (two available, left and right) into the input on the amp ie taking one half of a stereo signal and inputting to a stereo input on the amp? There is a headphone output on the interface. Would that give me stereo to stereo? Again, forgive my stupidity and thanks to any who respond!
