Both of those are not the latest versions. Does Product Manager show any updates available? Is Reaper using the exact same versions (identical version numbers) or do you have multiple .dlls on your computer?

curious..how do you know what versions they are Scott?

I did find the problem. Somehow the search path, to my Toontrack folder, disappeared in MixCraft.

The bottom right corner of the 2 plugins show the version number. EZD shows 1.3.1 (1.4.0 was the final version) and your EZkeys shows 1.0.1 (1.2.5 is the latest version).

I didn’t realize you could see that..I barely can! Brings up a question when you stated EZ drummer versions. I have EZD2 now. So for me the latest version 2.1.8, is that not correct? I’m not sure what the 1.4.0 version relates to. Also, is the window that popped up, a leftover from the old EZD prior to upgrading to EZD2 that I need to delete from my files possibly?

Your pic show EZD1 and not EZD2, so the latest version of EZD1 is 1.4.0. That is what I was referring to. If your pic had shown EZD2, I would have said you should have 2.1.8. I didn’t know from your pic you had EZD2.

If everything went as planned, when you upgraded from EZD1 to EZD2 and ran the EZD2 installer, the EZD2 .dll would have overwritten the old EZD1.dll.

There are a couple of reason why that may not have happened. One being that the EZD1 .dll was manually copied or moved after the original install. Second, there was an admin permission issue and never got written correctly to the computer.

You do say that you have EZD2 installed?

I do have EZD2 it was the upgrade from EZD. what you said made sense. My question I guess is ; are there two different authorization windows? One for EZD, and one for EZD2? Make sense? If not.. no problem. If so..Why did the wrong one appear, That is my question.

No, you shouldn’t be able to have EZD1 and EZD2 on the same computer at the same time. EZD2 should have overwritten EZD1 when EZD2 was installed.

You shouldn’t be getting an EZD1 authorization prompt if you have EZD2 installed.

Why you would have it pop up is what I explained above. Did the EZD1 .dll get moved or copied? If you do a Windows search, how’s many ezdrummer.dll are actually on your computer?

I have these on the OS drive. There are others on possibly internal and others on external drive back-ups.

Toontracks has just now disabled my ezdrummer. I have had it for years.  I had to update your Program Manager thing as it wouldn’t load, but it says I have no more installations left!

This is NOT true.   You have one very upset customer here.    I cannot get on with the project I was on.

This is the second time you have screwed me over. Love the product, but your activation stuff isn’t any good.

The first 2 on that list are 32-bit locations. Not sure how you’re running 64-bit versions if those are what you’re running from. Not sure about the others you mentioned.

Ideally you would have only 1 (or 2 if you both 32-bit and 64-bit). Not sure why or how you have so many .dlls (unless you manually copied them).

    Scott,

I think I was having problems with the EZD2 awhile back. Soon after upgrading the win. 7 to 10. Had to run 32 bit on my 64 bit system. Too, I wanted it so show up in SOLO along with superior drums. I could not get the 64 bit version to show.

I deleted the 32 bit version, and updates through programs and features. Now it no longer loads in SOLO.

How would I get the 64 bit version of Ezd2 to load in solo with superior drums? I set the path but it is ignored.

You would need to have both 64-bit Solo and 64-bit EZD2 installed and you set the path to the 64-bit EZD2 from the Set Paths menu in Options in Solo.

I’m not sure what path you are setting as the above pic you posted of all of your ezdrummer.dll were in a 32-bit install locations.

As previously mentioned I deleted all 32 bit toontrack programs. My 64 bit superior drums open in solo. I set the path to my (only) at this point 64 bit ezd2. I close, open again..no ezd2 only superior drums ,…?

Well, I wasn’t using the 64 bit solo, And I wasn’t using the 64 bit Superior drummer. I am now! All seems squared away. Have both drum programs working in solo.

Thank you, Scott. For your help here. Had you not noticed the issue, I probably would have gone on miss-matched.
