I put together a drum track out of the files included in ez-drummer. It sounded good for many passes, then all of a sudden it started to sound like it was playing with two kits, one on top of the other. And a beat or more apart. So you can hear many of the hits “flam” against itself and the fills sound different than they originally did. What happened and how do I fix it… Thanks!!
Hi,
make sure you do not both have MIDI on your DAW Track and the EZdrummer 2 Song Track.
If you do and wish to keep it that way, please uncheck ‘Follow Host’ in EZdrummer 2.

Thanked by: J.A.J SoundI don’t have midi on the daw track in this instance.. but thank you… That’s a good thought for if this comes up again when I do.
John Nailed it ! ezd “FOLLOW HOST”
By MIDI Track on your DAW , I think he means you dragged and dropped a EZD Drum pattern in your DAW,
Thank you. I will go double check to make sure, but I don’t remember dragging a file to a midi track. That’s not to say that the guy working with me didn’t do that when I left the room for a cup o’ joe. haha I’ll double check. Thanks for the input.
Been awhile, but if you write or set some beats up in EZD you can drag an drop them in to Cubase without creating a separate MIDI Track ,,,, maybe it is the same with other DAWs ?
a-ha… the plot thickens. I’m on Pro Tools, but I’ll get on it and see if any of that happened. I kept telling my writing partner that it sounded like the track is in there twice and both are playing… Thanks much…
