Hi Guys,
I have installed the 64 bit version of EZplayer and been advised it was successful.
It is there as a vst in my DAW (Studio One Pro4), but it is not available standalone.
If I go to the Windows uninstaller it is there to be uninstalled…
If I go to the Tootrack folder in Program Files it is not there…neither is it in the 32 bit Toontrack folder (which it should not be, anyway of course).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and the same thing keeps happening – no standalone.
What have I done wrong?
The dialogue box that appears during installation has confused me all along. It asks me to select which of the three components I want to install and offers me file paths. The file paths all appear correct, but I am not sure that all three components are actually executing. The thing is I do not know which of the three I need, I just want to the thing to appear as a standalone.
Can anyone assist?
Regards
Adrian
EZplayer can either be used in a DAW or in standalone when used in Toontrack Solo with S2 or EZD. If using standalone EZplayer, what sampler will you be using?

Hi Scott,
It is best if I explain the big picture before I answer your questions.
I have 26000 midi loops that I need to audition and either delete or classify. If I try to do this in Studio One it is rather slow, I am also limited in what I can do with the file after I have auditioned it. I have a very light midi player called Van Basco which is fast but which has two problems; it sounds abysmal and also the files are not all gm files, so it plays drums as pianos, for example, and it has not instrument or channel change function.
I bought EZ player because I expected it would sound good, I expected it would play all kinds of loops (not just drums) and I wanted to use the organisation features (even though I do not yet understand them). Am I on the right path?
As to using it inside Solo, I did not know that was required, or even possible. I thought it simply would standalone…
As to which sampler, again, I have not got that far. Do you have a recommendation?
The thing is I have 26000 files, so I need a fast process or I may die before I finish the task?
Regards
Adrian
EZplayer makes no sound on its own. When used in a DAW and a sound sampler, or in Toontrack Solo with S2 or EZD, it will play back using the sampler sounds when routed correctly.
You might want to check out the product page below or search Youtube for EZplayer to see it in action.

I haven’t used EZplayer in a long time since there are MIDI browsers and Song Track arrangers in the latest Toontrack drum samplers, S3 and EZD2.

I just purchased the EZPlayer today, and am having the same problems as was described by Adrian above. I was under the impression that EZPlayer would work stand-alone in the same way as EZDrummer or EZKeys – but OK, I have the Toontrack stand-alone and it works fine with my EZDrummer – but again, where is the EZPlayer app hiding at? I don’t see any option in any menu drop-downs or any trace of it.
I too, use Studio One 4 Pro, and while I can access EZPlayer in the DAW, I want to use it stand-alone, for exactly the same reasons that Adrian describes. So with the DAW closed, and Toontrack with EZDrummer open, where is it? How is EZPlayer accessed? So far this latest purchase has been a bit of a disappointment – there does not seem to be the same consistency to its functionality like the other products have. Appreciate any assistance before I uninstall the thing. Thanks

Have you downloaded Solo?. You can load EZplayer and EZD in Solo together.

Thanked by: JohnYes I have Toontrack solo and I can load EZD, but cannot find EZplayer. Is there a trick to getting it to appear in the drop-down of Solo?
Ahhhhh – I see it now. I was looking to add EZplayer into the initial screen, which showed only my EZDrummer. Instead, the EZplayer was available in the View screen as shown here. Hope this can help some others as well – thank you Scott!
