Hi,
I would find it helpful if when dragging a section of a track into my DAW, the section went over with it’s specific name rather than it’s general name.
For example, in the picture above, I’d like to drag the section where the mouse pointer is and have it appear as a clip in Live with the name ‘Verse 4’ rather than simply ‘Verse’.
The point is that if I’ve constructed the Track using different verses (rather than the same one in every location) then I would like those clips to be distinctly named when I drag-and-drop them to the DAW.
Thank you for your consideration.
Alternately, if all those sections named simply ‘Verse’ were actually named ‘Verse 1’, ‘Verse 2’ etc. (assuming they are in fact different) in the visible (and exported) name, SD3 could itself internally choose to ignore the ‘ 1’, ‘ 2’ etc. and still “magically know” that a verse is a verse, a chorus is a chorus etc. for substitution purposes in the Song Creator.
Hi,
A part dragged to the DAW, as above, now is coming over as ‘Track 0″, not even “Verse”, let alone “Verse 4”.
I think this would be a great addition.

Thanked by: sj1I totally agree with you here. I am using Studio One 4.6.2 and when i drag a section in, it appears in Studio One as “Untitled” i then have to rename it manually. I guess this is a Studio one problem, since its working for you in Ableton Live?
As far as the Intro/Verse/End naming and colouring, it would be really nice if there was a “User Defined” option under the “Song Part” menu, where you would be able to name and choose a RGB colour of your own liking.
