I’m getting this message with pro tools. I use SD3 with Logic all day long. But Pro tools won’t work. I’ve re-installed the SD3 app as well.
Hi,
Please open Applications > Utilities > Terminal, copy/paste the following command there and press Enter:
sudo pkgutil --forget com.toontrack.superior3.aax.pkg
Type your computer/admin password when prompted. Then run the SD3 installer again (version 3.1.2). I believe that should fix it.

Thanked by: ronnyjonesThat helped but I discovered that for some reason my ProTools PlugIn folder is in an odd location (applications folder). I have no idea why? I had to dig out the NEW aaxplugin file from the SD3 plug-in folder then drop into the protools plugin folder. It’s an AVID issue. Bottom line is IT FINALLY WORKS!!
Hi Gabriel,
are you using Pro Tools as well? If not, please specify host and if you have copied the VST .dll file.
Hosts should be pointed to the location of the VST .dll instead of copying it.

I’m running reaper on win 10 and have the same issue. Please let me know how to fix it. I thought this was fixed v3.1.0?

Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.1.4
Operating system: Windows 10
What does it say, what version of plug and what version of resources do you have?
If it says you have an older version of the plug, that’s usually caused by having moved the dll earlier instead of adding its path (where it was installed) to the DAW settings (VST paths).

I solved the issue with a complete uninstall and reinstall. I believe the resources said v3.1.3. You might want to check the update package and make sure that the VST .dlls are included with the update.
In reaper, mine says plugin 3.1.2
resources 3.1.4
How is this fixed, this just happened yesterday, was working fine before??
Hi lokendulge,
like suggested above, this almost always is due to manual copying or moving of the .dll file post initial installation.
I suggest you close Reaper, perform a Search on your system for ‘Superior Drummer 3.dll’ and delete all instances showing up, then download and run the 3.1.4 update again.
If Reaper does not find SD3 after this, please do not copy or move the .dll file but include the location of the ‘Superior Drummer 3.dll’ in Reaper’s VST Scan/Search paths.
BR,
John

Thanked by: yunoDAWI have the same issue. I am running OS 10.15. My library is on my d rive, everything was working till I did the latest S3 update.
Hi toddscot,
the other users posting in this thread are on Windows, where the plug-in .dll files sometimes are moved and/or copied or simply installed in the wrong place.
IOW, you can’t have the same issue. Please elaborate and describe exactly what is not working and perhaps attach screen shots of error messages.
On a side note, why are you still using a Beta version of Catalina? The last version is 10.15.7.

John

Here is the error. I can also update my system. This started happening after I did the last Sd3 update yesterday.
This screenshot shows that you are using plug-in version 3.2.3 but the screenshot of Product Manager shows that version 3.2.4 (of the AU) is installed. Have you duplicated Superior Drummer 3.component earlier (in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
) and are using the old copy, or have you copied it to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
(where ~ means your user home folder)? You can use “Go to Folder” in the Go menu in Finder to get to the latter place, because the user Library folder is hidden. If you find version 3.2.3 there, delete it.
