Have also enquired about this. It is way too small for editing.

Thanked by: KenB123 and Max courtney+1 Yes please make the GUI scalable. It’s beyond frustrating trying to compose anything in the locked tiny GUI. The WordPress website developers that sell cheap templates all have adaptable GUIs. How hard can it be? I’m new to the Toontrack world. Do they listen to or care about customers? Just asking…

Thanked by: rchilliard and KenB123Exactly what I was thinking. Its unbearable. Why can’t you rise it up while editing???? We don’t need the piano image, we need to see what we are doing!
Please, the product is great, but its such a pain to use!

Hello, Toontrack? Is anyone out there? Anyone AT ALL? The GUI is painfully small for composing and is an absolute creativity killer. Are there musicians in your ranks? Or just computer programmers? Is anybody paying attention to user experience? UX considerations should lead your design. Please help! Is the company so heartless that you can’t even reply?

Thanked by: Arindeb and KenB123EZkeys can’t be resized because Superior Drummer 3, and plugins that will come out in the future, is built from scratch using a technology that can handle resizing, scaling, etc., which EZkeys, EZdrummer 2, etc. isn’t built upon. E.g. it’s not possible for us to just add scaling/resizing to the older products. We are aware of that it would be really useful for you guys, and we have it on our request list. We’ll take a look at it again to see if there’s anything we can do about it – but I can’t make any promises…

Thanks for the reply, even if it’s not good news for all us EZ Keys users. What you’re saying is EZ Keys and EZ Drummer will continue to get the crumbs of any future attention to user enjoyment and functionality. I appreciate the honesty. It’s good to know moving forward with future decisions regarding where I spend my dollars for production tools. Best regards…

Thanked by: KenB123Dear Toontrack November 21, 2020
I’ve so enjoyed all your products from EZ Drummer 2 to EZ Keys and EZ Bass. I think your EZ Bass is your best product to date incredible!
Which leads me to my reason for writing these comments. I finished up all my bass tracks with such ease and I am amazed at the workflow. However, now that I’m on the EZ Drums 2 I’m struggling with the small size of the interface. Toontrack is like Tech Rock Stars to me but why you/they have not upgraded the sizing of the interface leaves me frustrated and hesitant to invest more time and money into the product. I do not want to upgrade to Superior Drums right now and was wondering/hoping/wishing that EZ Drums will invest back into their loyal customers and offer this upgrade in the future????
Respectfully waiting,
Matthew Bowe

Thanked by: KenB123Ez Keys is really great for putting together keyboard parts and excels at that. But I have to agree that the small GUI is somewhat limiting and I was hoping it would be updated in a similar fashion that Superior Drummer was. I don’t know how many users EZ Keys has in comparison to Superior Drummer but it would certainly benefit from a scalable GUI. I had similar misgivings about Waves plug-ins in that they were pretty small but then they released V12 and they are all scalable now so they whether they had to re-engineer the GUI to do that I’ve no idea. Anyway here’s hoping to track come up with a solution in the not-too-distant future.

Martin

Thanked by: KenB123So resizing the EZKeys screen was initially mentioned here 2-years ago, and apparently nothing has changed.
What gives Toontrack? Is it not possible?
Can’t you manage some update where it could be at least resizable overall? Just out of interest – whose brainy idea was it to make it so small in the first place? Wasn’t it questioned from the start? Is that brainbox still working for Toontrack! Otherwise the products are SO good. It’s infuriating! Here’s hoping for good news! W.

Hmmm. Let’s see. EZkeys was originally released in 2012 or 2013. In the time before 3840×2160 resolutions were in every notebook, laptop, and coffee maker screen. Developed using 2012 code that didn’t have a resizable GUI built in that can be just turned on and “bam”…resized.
A resizable GUI would require a rewrite using a different code from the ground up. Probably using the design of the newer Toontrack plugins like S3 and EZbass that use such code.
When will it be released? I have no idea. Toontrack has always kept releases close to the vest and I certainly couldn’t guess when that may happen either.

Thanked by: KenB123 and pete woodsHaving bought EZbass last week with its resizable interface and modern look I imagined that any products sold ‘as new’ now would be similar. Having just paid the same price for EZkeys I feel a bit hard done by! Why is a product not changed since 2012 sold for a price that reflects that it is new and up to date? I looked for a refund option but there doesn’t seem to be one. Is this the case?

Once installed, there is no refund option. You can sell it provided you follow the steps in the FAQ below.

BTW, there was a demo for EZkeys (click the Try It button on the product page) so it could be tried before purchased.
